The wedge features a 1025-milled carbon steel face that is only 1.5mm thick and backed by a hollow core that is filled with a thermal plastic elastomer (TPE). The Tour Black face and grooves are milled to conform to the recent USGA groove ruling allowing these wedges to be played on the 2010 PGA Tour. The combination of the super thin face, TPE gel and helps the Tour Black deliver exceptional feel and remarkable feedback. Creating Tour-inspired looks and feel, the new Tour Black’s Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating sets this wedge apart. The process is unique in that it involves the deposition of a very hard ceramic and diamond-like carbon coating via a vacuum cure process for a better player look.
